This weekend marks the opening of a new art studio for children in Timonium.

Abrakadoodle offers art classes, workshops, field trips and birthday parties for children ages 2 to 14. The company’s new studio is located at 9606 Deereco Road and grand opening festivities will take place Saturday, Feb. 11 from 1 to 4 p.m.

The event will feature the work of Maryland artist Dana Morgan-Gillett, who will lead mini art sessions for children who attend. Face painting, prizes, refreshments and music also are planned. Registration is not required.
