
Grand Canyon Adventure: River at Risk Splashes onto the five-story-high IMAX screen at The Maryland Science Center. Visitors experience an exhilarating whitewater journey down the Colorado River while exploring the issues of global water.
Grand Canyon Adventure: River at Risk is narrated by actor, filmmaker and environmentalist Robert Redford, who details the global freshwater issues the planet faces today. Throughout the film viewers discover how interconnected humans are to the rivers, lakes and oceans around them, as well as strategies for their conservation.
The river guides for this journey include Robert F. Kennedy Jr., a leading advocate for water conservation and river restoration; Wade Davis, an ethno-botanist and author; and Shana Watahomigie, who grew up at the canyon’s edge with her Havasupai family. Music is provided by the Dave Matthews Band.
