Apparently there’s an Olympic curler who is five months pregnant. Momlogic.com has addressed this issue of exercising in pregnancy in a blog here.
Though I’m an avid runner and I used to bike all the time, pregnancy is the only time I gave myself a break from exercise. After my first miscarriage, I worried about working out while pregnant. I know that exercise doesn’t cause miscarriages, but in those first few months — I wanted to make sure I did everything I could not to jostle the little thing.
I did start riding again when I was further along with Maggie, my oldest, but I had to make sure there was a bathroom somewhere along my route. Eventually, I was stopping so often it just wasn’t worth it. With the twins, I didn’t feel like doing anything at all and when I was pregnant with Jonah — I figured I deserved a break from my regular routine. Don’t they say that just being pregnant is equivalent to climbing a mountain? That seems like quite enough. But I’m no Olympian.

Yes you are. I think your attitude about exercise during pregnancy makes so much sense. Your body is about the baby when you’re pregnant. Exercise can tempt a woman into worrying about her shape, when she only needs to think about keeping her baby healthy.
