Stand face to face with Chinese soldiers molded more than 2,000 years ago to accompany China’s first emperor into the afterlife in the National Georgraphic Museum’s exhibition “Terra Cotta Warriors: Guardians of China’s First Emperor.”
The Washington museum is the last scheduled stop in the United States for the exhibition, which is great for families and children. The exhibit is an in-depth look at the First Emperor’s historic tomb complex and includes 15 life-size terra cotta figures which represent soldiers, servants, musicians, acrobats and animals. Other objects such as ceremonial stone armor, weapons and bronze birds are also on display.
Tickets for the exhibit are $12 for adults and $6 for children. The exhibit will be on display through March. For details and tickets visit www.nationalgeographic.com/terracottawarriors/index.html.
