I got a glimpse this week of what life is going to be like when my 4-year-old gets more involved in activities.
Up until now, he hasn’t really weighed into to the craziness of the household. But on Monday, we had our first full-blown, four-kid day.
Each kid had two activities, and my husband and I had one of our own. Luckily, there was a bit of overlap so between Lilly’s morning lacrosse camp and evening swim practice; Adam’s morning swim practice and evening lacrosse league; Maggie’s morning swim practice and evening birthday party; and Jonah’s morning swim practice and afternoon birthday party — we only had to get to five different events.
The downside was that only one of us got to go to our own evening activity. So after a draw, Chris ended up riding around picking up kids and brining them home, while I had the luxury of sipping margaritas with friends.
Anyone have any advice for balancing activities with multiple kids?
