Now through July 19, everyone 18 and younger is admitted free to the Chesapeake Shakespeare Company’s production of “Twelfth Night,” performed outdoors at the Patapsco Female Institute in Ellicott City.

Every year locals enjoy Shakespeare under the stars, with performances Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 5 p.m.

Sundays in particular are a family affair, with special activities just for kids including maypole dancing, a fight demonstration, face painting and a storytelling of the evening’s performance. All performances feature pre-show entertainment like musicians, jugglers and variety acts.
