Take an Irish step dancing lesson or learn a thing or two about puppetry at the 32nd annual Maryland Irish Festival Nov. 7 to 9 at the State Fairgrounds in Timonium.
Kids can ride bouncing balls to simulate the Galway Races or “storm the castle” by climbing an inflatable castle. They can plant shamrock seeds and milk a pretend cow while mom and dad taste traditional Irish food and drink. There will also be authentic Celtic music, living history exhibits and demonstrations, all in the Cow Palace.
Hours are Friday from 6 to 11 p.m. and Saturday from noon to 11 p.m. On Sunday, Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. and the festival will run until 7 p.m. Tickets are $10 for adults, $7 for seniors, $5 for children 12 to 17 and free for those under 12. www.irishfestival.com
